West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Poland

Cyber Urban Centre is an scientific group created within the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Poland, at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The research area of the CUC is focused on application of computational techniques in urban design, spatial planning and architecture. Progress and development in field of 3D modelling, visualization of urban landscape and geo-information systems is extremely dynamic. The current developments in geo-information technology will lead within the next decades to the availability of 3D city and landscape models for the entire areas of countries and even on supranational level. How to use this potential for city management and planning? The founders of the centre have scientific and professional experience in architecture, urban design, digital simulations for spatial impact of localization of high buildings, analyses of public spaces and qualitative parametric value of urban structures. The mission of the CUC is to expand scientific activities and to create interdisciplinary cooperation network within research area of 3D Advanced Urban Analysis Systems.
